tell us a bit about you and where you are from?

My name is Nicolas, I'm 32 and I come from Rouen, France but I've been living in Bordeaux for 2 year,

how and when did you get interested in photography?

I got interested in photography when I was a child. My father had a Nikon FG that I could use when going in holidays. But I bought my first camera (a canon 500N) at 18 with my first salary (a training period), It was great because there where a lab in my school of engineering!

what are your favorite photos that you have taken? urls? what kind of pictures do you love to take?

I mostly take landscape or city pictures but I like to explore every kind of style... It is hard to select my favorite pictures here are some... perhaps not the best technicaly speaking but from different styles...

which photographers do you like and follow?

Although my pictures are totally different, my all time favorite photographer is Willy Ronis. I like all the "humanity" that comes from his pictures. What's more, I enjoyed the way he used to talk about his pictures, even many years after (as he died at 99, many many may be a lot of years!) : the way he explained every detail of the scene, what happened before*... in fact, I like when there's a story about a picture...

No formal training as photography is concerned. Only practice and photo books reading...

do you use software to touch up photos? what do you use?

Currently I use Aperture 3. It is enough for the kind of photo i take.

what else would you like to tell us?

I don't like speaking about myself... so that's enough ;-)
